Legal Information
This page sets out the legal information that applies to this website, to the audiovisual production resources published on it, and to any course, workshop or training material we make available. It is written in plain English so that you can understand who you are dealing with, what you may do with our content, and how to raise a concern. Last updated: 30 October 2026.
1. About This Legal Notice
This legal notice (sometimes called an imprint or legal information page) is published by the operator of this website and applies to every visit, download, stream, enrolment and transaction connected with the site. It works alongside, and does not replace, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Terms and Conditions, and Payment and Refund Policy, each of which is referred to by name in section 12 below. Where a conflict exists between this notice and a signed agreement or a specific set of course terms, the signed agreement or specific course terms will take priority to the extent of that conflict.
By browsing the site, reading our guides, watching our video material or enrolling on a course, you confirm that you have had a reasonable opportunity to read this notice and that you accept it. If you do not accept it, please stop using the site. Nothing in this notice is intended to remove or reduce any right you have as a consumer under the law of England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland.
2. Who We Are: Identity of the Website Operator
This website is published under the name celebrara. The site is owned and operated by Adlib Audio Limited, a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales. Adlib Audio Limited is the data controller for personal information collected through the site and is the party responsible for the editorial content, course material and technical operation of the website.
Adlib Audio Limited is an audiovisual and live production business. The website you are reading is our informational and educational resource, dedicated to audiovisual production excellence: broadcast studio design, camera control systems, professional lighting arrangements, sound engineering, and the streamlined workflows that television networks, production houses and live event teams rely on. Where we describe equipment, techniques, standards or workflows, we do so for general educational purposes and on the basis of our own practical production experience.
The company's directors are the persons responsible for the management of the business. Their particulars, together with the company's filing history and accounts, are recorded on the public register maintained by Companies House in the United Kingdom, which any member of the public may inspect.
3. Statutory Company Information
Under the Companies Act 2006 and the Company, Limited Liability Partnership and Business (Names and Trading Disclosures) Regulations 2015, a UK limited company that operates a website must disclose certain particulars on that website. We set those particulars out below, together with our VAT registration number, which we publish for transparency and which must in any event appear on invoices and other specified business documents under the Value Added Tax Regulations 1995.
Company Name: celebrara | Legal Entity: Adlib Audio Limited | Company Registration Number: 03555097 | Place of Registration: England and Wales | VAT Number: 477222243 | Registered Office: 1 Fairview Cottages, Beehive Road, Binfield, RG12 8TS, United Kingdom | Email: [email protected] | Phone: +44 (0)1344 649400
The same line of company particulars is reproduced in the footer of every page of this website, as required for trading disclosures. If any of these details change, we will update both this page and the site footer promptly and in any event within the period allowed by law.
Regulatory position
We do not operate a television or radio broadcast service, and we therefore do not hold a broadcast licence from Ofcom. Our editorial content about studio design, camera control and lighting is produced for information and training purposes. Where we sell training or educational services, those services are supplied as described on the relevant course page; they are not accredited qualifications unless a course page expressly states that an accreditation, awarding body or certification applies.
We are registered for VAT in the United Kingdom. Prices shown to consumers on this site include VAT where the law requires it to be included; prices shown to business customers may be quoted exclusive of VAT, in which case the applicable VAT will be added at the prevailing rate and shown on the invoice.
4. Registered Office and Contacting Us
Our registered office, which is the address for formal notices and legal service, is: 1 Fairview Cottages, Beehive Road, Binfield, RG12 8TS, United Kingdom. You can reach the team by email at [email protected] or by telephone on +44 (0)1344 649400. If you prefer, you can use the contact form on our Contacts page; messages sent through the form reach the same mailbox and are handled in the same way as email.
For formal notices under a contract, please write to the registered office address above and mark the correspondence clearly. General questions about content, courses, invoices or accessibility are usually handled faster by email. We aim to acknowledge written enquiries within a small number of working days, although response times may be longer during public holidays or peak production periods.
Please note that the postal address above is a business address and is not a retail counter. Visitors are not admitted without prior appointment.
5. What This Website Is For: Purpose, Scope and Intended Audience
This website exists to be an informative resource dedicated to audiovisual production excellence. Its scope includes broadcast studio design, camera control systems, professional lighting arrangements, sound engineering, and streamlined workflows for television networks and live events. Some pages are reference guides, some are structured courses or teaching modules, and some explain how our own production practice works. Unless a page clearly states otherwise, everything on the site is general information rather than bespoke professional advice for a specific project.
The intended audience is adults working, or preparing to work, in production environments: technical crews, engineers, lighting and sound specialists, studio managers, educators, students on related programmes, and in-house event teams. The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly design content or marketing for children under 13. If you are under 18, you should use the site only with the involvement of a parent, guardian or employer.
Our content describes equipment, standards and practices that are common in the United Kingdom and in international production environments. Practices vary between countries and between venues, and electrical, rigging, lifting and broadcasting work is often subject to separate statutory duties, permits and site rules. You remain responsible for checking what applies where you work, and for engaging appropriately qualified personnel.
6. Access to the Website and Acceptable Use
We provide the website on an "as available" basis for personal, professional development and internal business reference. You may read, print and share small extracts for non-commercial teaching, study or internal briefing, provided you keep attribution to us intact and do not present the material as your own.
You must not: copy or republish substantial parts of the site or of any course material; scrape or harvest the site by automated means; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its supporting infrastructure; upload malicious code; misrepresent your identity or your authority; use the site to advertise competing services without our written consent; or use the site in a way that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing or infringing of anyone else's rights.
Where you are given access credentials for course material or a learner portal, you are responsible for keeping them confidential and for activity carried out under them. We may suspend or withdraw access, without notice, where we reasonably believe there has been a serious breach of this section, unlawful use, a security risk to other users, or where we need to protect our intellectual property or comply with the law. We do not accept liability for any loss of convenience, and no refund is due, where access is withdrawn because of a serious breach by the user.
Availability and maintenance
We update the site regularly and may change, move or remove content at any time. We also need to take the site down occasionally for maintenance, security patching or hosting changes. We try to schedule planned interruptions sensibly and to keep them short, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability, and we do not guarantee that the site or any course portal will be compatible with every device, browser or assistive technology.
7. Courses, Educational Material and Enrolment
Where a page describes a course, workshop, online module or downloadable resource, the description on that page forms part of the basis of the contract between us. We aim to describe the level, duration, prerequisites, technical requirements and learning outcomes of each course accurately, and to state clearly whether the course is delivered live, on demand, in person, or as a blend.
Consumer cancellation rights
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom and you buy a course or digital material at a distance (for example online or by telephone), you normally have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of the contract being concluded, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. For digital content supplied immediately, that right may be lost once supply has begun with your express consent and acknowledgement; for live teaching sessions, the right may be affected if the service has been fully performed within the cancellation period. Any cancellation, cooling-off or rescheduling conditions that apply to a particular course are set out on the course page and in our Payment and Refund Policy.
Quality of service and digital content
Services such as training and consultancy must be performed with reasonable care and skill, and digital content must be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If something we supply falls short, contact us first so that we can put it right, for example by re-running a session, providing replacement material or issuing a proportionate refund. This is without prejudice to your statutory remedies.
8. Intellectual Property and Permitted Use
Unless stated otherwise, all content on this website is owned by or licensed to Adlib Audio Limited and is protected by copyright, database right, design right and, where applicable, trade mark law. The content includes written guides and course notes, technical diagrams and illustrations, photographs, video and audio recordings, course structures and slide decks, page layouts, and the underlying source code and design of the site.
The company name, our trading names, and the logos and product marks used on the site are our trade marks or those of their respective owners. Nothing on this site should be read as granting you a licence to use any trade mark, brand or logo, whether for commercial, comparative, endorsement or any other purpose, without prior written permission.
Subject to section 6, you may view the site, store it temporarily in your browser cache, and print or download individual pages for your own non-commercial reference. You may quote short passages in teaching, review or reporting, provided the source is credited and the quotation is fair and proportionate. You must not sell, sublicense, distribute, mirror, translate, create derivative works from, or incorporate substantial parts of the content into another product, course or publication without our written consent. If you believe that material on this site infringes your own rights, please contact us at [email protected] with enough detail for us to identify the material and the right said to be infringed; we will review the notice and act reasonably, which may include removing or amending the material.
9. Accuracy, Availability and Limitation of Liability
We take care to publish content that is accurate and useful when it is written. Production technology changes quickly, equipment firmware and standards are revised, and good practice varies between venues, so content can become out of date or unsuitable for a particular situation. Nothing on this site is a substitute for a site-specific risk assessment, a current manufacturer's manual, an up-to-date standard, or advice from a suitably qualified engineer, rigger or safety professional.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, business interruption, and any indirect or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with your use of the site or reliance on its content. Where you use the site as a business, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you began using it.
Nothing in this notice excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of the terms implied by sections 9 and 10 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, for defective digital content under section 46 of that Act, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. Where liability is not excluded, our total liability to any one claimant in connection with the website and any course purchased through it is limited to the greater of the amount paid by that claimant for the relevant course or service, or one hundred pounds sterling, except in the categories that cannot be limited by law.
10. External Links and Third-Party Content
We may refer to third-party standards bodies, manufacturers, training providers, trade associations or venues whose material is relevant to a topic. Such references are provided for convenience and context only. We do not control external sites and we are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, security, accessibility, privacy practices or terms of use.
Any link or reference does not imply endorsement of a third party, or of any product, service or opinion they provide, unless we say so expressly. If you follow a link away from our site, you do so at your own risk and should review the terms and privacy information of the site you visit. Where we embed or quote third-party content, the rights in that content remain with the third party, and our use is made in reliance on fair dealing, a licence, or the relevant platform's embedding terms. If you are a rights holder and object to the way your material appears on this site, contact us at [email protected] and we will respond promptly.
11. Privacy, Cookies and Data Protection
Personal information collected through this website is handled in accordance with the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR). Adlib Audio Limited is the data controller for that information. Depending on what you do on the site, we may process your name and contact details, your enrolment and payment information, correspondence with our team, technical information such as IP address and device type, and analytics data about how pages are used.
Why we process personal information
We process personal information to provide the website and its content, to administer course bookings and enrolment, to answer enquiries, to keep records of transactions for tax and accounting purposes, to protect the site against abuse and security threats, to improve the resource by understanding which topics are useful, and to send marketing only where we have a lawful basis to do so. Our lawful bases are normally the performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests in running and improving an educational resource, and consent where consent is required, for example for non-essential cookies or certain electronic marketing.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site uses essential cookies and similar technologies to make it work, to remember your cookie preferences, and to keep sessions and forms secure. Non-essential cookies, such as analytics or embedded media cookies, are only set after you agree to them through the site-wide cookie banner, in line with PECR. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time through the banner or your browser settings; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site, such as forms or course portals, from working properly.
Your data protection rights
Subject to the conditions in the legislation, you have the right to be informed, to access your personal information, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have information erased, to restrict or object to certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection, although we would appreciate the chance to address your concern first. Retention periods, international transfer safeguards and the full detail of our processing are set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are separate documents published on this site.
12. Our Other Policies and Terms
This legal notice should be read together with the following documents, each of which forms part of the terms on which you may use this website. They are available as separate pages on this site: the Privacy Policy, which explains how and why we process personal information and how to exercise your rights; the Cookie Policy, which lists the cookies and similar technologies used and how to control them; the Terms and Conditions, which govern the use of the site and the supply of goods and services; and the Payment and Refund Policy, which explains accepted payment methods, invoicing, cancellation, rescheduling, refunds and credit arrangements. Where a course is purchased, the course page itself also forms part of the agreement.
13. Applicable Law, Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution
This notice and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it, its subject matter or its formation are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you live, and nothing in this notice affects those rights.
Subject to the paragraph below, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live, and we may bring proceedings against you only in that part.
Complaints and alternative dispute resolution
If you are unhappy with anything connected to the website, a course or an order, please contact us first at [email protected] or on +44 (0)1344 649400, giving your name, order or enrolment reference, and a clear description of the issue and the outcome you are seeking. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it through our internal process. We are not obliged to participate in alternative dispute resolution, and we do not currently subscribe to an approved ADR scheme, but where a dispute cannot be resolved directly we will tell you about any ADR body that may be relevant and about any statutory route open to you. If you are a consumer who contracted with us while resident in the European Union, you may also have rights under the law of your country of residence; the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform is not available to consumers in the United Kingdom following its closure in July 2025.
14. Changes to This Legal Notice and How to Contact Us
We may update this legal notice from time to time to reflect changes in the law, in our business, or in the way the site is operated. The version published on this page is the version that applies. The date of the most recent update is shown near the top of the page, and material changes will be signalled clearly on the site. Continuing to use the website after an update takes effect means that you accept the updated notice; if you do not accept it, please stop using the site and contact us if you need to discuss a course you have already purchased.
