Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026

Scope of the policy and the products or services it covers

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related digital resources offered through celebrara. The courses provide informative resources dedicated to audiovisual production excellence, including broadcast studio design, camera control systems, professional lighting arrangements, sound engineering, and streamlined workflows for television networks and live events. It covers both one-time course purchases and any subscription-based access to materials. The policy governs transactions made by consumers located in the United Kingdom and explains the rights and obligations when buying these educational services.

Prices, currencies, taxes, and any additional charges

All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate unless otherwise stated. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as extended access periods or supplementary downloadable resources. celebrara reserves the right to adjust prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed. Customers are responsible for any currency conversion fees if paying from outside the UK.

Accepted payment methods, payment authorisation, and payment security

We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers for course purchases. Payment is authorised at the time of order placement. All transactions are processed through secure third-party payment gateways that comply with UK data protection standards. celebrara does not store full card details. Authorisation may be declined for reasons including insufficient funds or suspected fraud, in which case the order will not be processed.

Order, booking, or service confirmation and when a contract is formed

A contract is formed once you receive an email confirmation from celebrara after submitting your order and payment details. This confirmation outlines the course access details and serves as proof of purchase. Access to digital course materials is granted immediately upon successful payment unless otherwise specified for scheduled live sessions.

Cancellation rights and applicable cancellation periods

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase to cancel without giving a reason. For digital content, this right is lost once you begin downloading or streaming the material. Cancellations must be requested in writing via the contact form on our Contacts page or by emailing [email protected]. Refunds for cancellations within this period will be processed minus any non-refundable fees where applicable.

Refund eligibility, exclusions, and non-refundable items or services

Refunds are available for cancellations within the 14-day period if no substantial access has occurred. Exclusions include courses where you have started viewing or downloading content, promotional bundles, or completed live workshop sessions. Non-refundable items also cover any customised course packages or materials already delivered. Eligibility is assessed on a case-by-case basis in line with UK consumer law.

The step-by-step procedure and information required to request a refund

To request a refund, contact celebrara using the form on the Contacts page or email [email protected] with your order number, full name, and reason for the request. Include any relevant details such as the date of purchase and access history. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity before processing.

Inspection, approval, rejection, and notification of the refund decision

Requests are reviewed within 10 business days. You will be notified by email whether the refund is approved or rejected, with reasons provided for rejections. If approved, processing begins immediately. Disputes can be escalated to the UK Ombudsman or through small claims procedures if needed.

Refund method, processing time, and when funds should reach the customer

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing typically takes 5 to 10 business days, though bank transfers or international cards may take longer. Funds should appear in your account within 14 days of approval. celebrara will provide a confirmation email once the refund is issued.

Special rules for digital content, subscriptions, services, or promotional offers where relevant

Digital courses are non-returnable once accessed. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date, with no partial refunds for mid-period cancellations. Promotional offers are subject to their own terms and may not qualify for standard refunds. Services such as live events follow separate cancellation rules outlined at booking.

Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks, and suspected fraud

Failed payments result in order cancellation with no access granted. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded automatically upon detection. Chargebacks must be reported to your card issuer, after which celebrara may suspend access pending resolution. Suspected fraud leads to immediate order hold and reporting to relevant authorities under UK law.

Mandatory consumer rights in the target country that the policy cannot exclude

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and PECR. You retain rights to goods and services of satisfactory quality, and remedies for faulty digital content. Nothing in this policy excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
